We are the Next Generation

There is always a next generation. The kids who grew up in the Squam community, spent summers on Squam, and hold Squam near and dear to their hearts eventually grow up and some have families of their own! New families move into old lake houses and new lake houses are occasionally built. We want to engage the next generation, whoever that may be, in an effort to continue the stewardship of the Squam watershed for generations to come.

NextGen Committee

The NextGen Committee was created to foster relationships between younger members’ families within the Squam community, resulting in deeper social bonds and more active participation in the stewardship of Squam’s land and character. Our group sponsors the monthly SLCS e-newsletters, plans community events and gatherings, and spends time together brainstorming strategies to continue to engage the next generation!
